Ghost writing is an option that is becoming more and more popular with people who have always wanted to publish their own book but have never got round to either beginning it, or, having begun, finishing it.

It is particularly appealing to anyone with a strong desire to write their memoirs and publish, or simply put into print, an accurate account of their family and their own life. Whether publishing for commercial or personal reasons, or both, it is an invaluable gift to the younger generations of the family, and also the descendants, especially since researching family history has become such an absorbing activity for many. Names and dates are interesting, but memoirs provide the stories that take family history to a whole new level of engagement. They can also have long-term future value as anecdotal history.

We work closely with the author, meeting on a regular basis, recording everything and writing with particular attention to maintaining the author's 'voice', especially in memoirs, where it is important that readers get a feeling for the author's personality and a sense of 'hearing' the author tell his/her story. Advice is always available, but the author naturally maintains control of all subject matter.
