Domestic violence is usually against women, or so we assume. Many women suffer in silence and never report the abuse they suffer. But what of abused men? Are they as few and far between as statistics would indicate? How much more likely is a man to stay silent?

For many years, Christopher T. Massey remained silent about the abuse he suffered.  In quiet desperation, he endured a daily life which was camouflaged in the ordinary, giving no hint of the secret with which he lived. His first attempt to leave the relationship failed because he could not stay away from his home and the daughters he loved.
